All Sing Choir
Harrow Road Community Choir
Originally started by Wigmore Hall Learning in 2009 with funds from the Councillor’s Ward Budget for Harrow Road, the All Sing Harrow Road Community Choir is now an independent community-run group attracting a large cross-section of the local community, from all age groups and backgrounds.
The choir rehearses on Tuesday evenings at Paddington Academy during term-time and performs at least one concert every term. They have given several well received concerts at Wigmore Hall and other venues such as St Mary Magdalene’s Church in Harrow Road, the Royal Geographical Society and a number of community venues.
The All Sing! Harrow Road Community Choir is a group that offers everyone the opportunity to sing.
- We welcome people of all ages, backgrounds and levels of musical experience, and endeavour to sing a wide range of music that both reflects the cultural makeup and diversity of the local community and offers something for everyone to enjoy.
- There are no auditions and no requirements to read music: all that is required is enthusiasm and commitment.
- We aim to create a relaxed, fun, creative and community-focused environment, where people can meet their neighbours and make new friends, whilst making music to a high standard. We also aim to encourage and inspire people to engage in broader musical activity, both at Wigmore Hall and in the wider community.
- We offer: the opportunity to sing and create music under the direction of professional singers and alongside professional musicians; the opportunity to perform, and see other concerts, at Wigmore Hall – a world-class concert venue; the opportunity to develop new vocal, musical and language skills; and most importantly, the opportunity to enjoy singing and making music with one another.
